per cent, for the purpose of assisting to pay off the antecedent liability of j.(>e Council as existing on March 31st., 1922, as defined by the Local Bodies Bonus Act, 1921 ; and that pursuant to the provisions ol the Local Bodies’ Minns Act, 1913. a special rate to secure the aforesaid loan which is to .owe a currency of eight years and to be repayable in sixteen half-yearly instalments he struck over the whole County, and be annually recurring ns the security rate during the currency of the loan; the said special rate to be one-fiftli of a penny in the £ on the capital rateable property within the County of Westland.” Dated at Hokitika this Ist day of June, 1922.
