tt. rn rrs tt. rrs rr rn rn s t: ECONOMY MOTORING. (Reprinted from The Sun, Wednesday, May 31st, 1022. Mr A J W Young, well-known motorist of Invell, writes as follows to Adams Ltd., N.Z. Importers of Studebaker Cars, about his trip in an Economy Light “Six” Studebaker to Dunedin and return —a distance of nearly 500 miles : , ■ Messrs Adams, Ltd. Irwell, May 24, 1922. Christchurch. Dear Sirs, —It is with much pleasure that I give you the following \ testimonial in connection with the Light “Six” Studebaker car which I purchased from your firm a few months ago. 1 .have now driven my i Light “Six” about 1200 miles, and up to date I have not had & stop, j and I have not yet used half a gallon of oil. On a recent trip to Dunedin and return T was delighted with. the way the little car behaved, and the flexibility of the “Six” cylinder engine and the way the car took the hills was a revelation to me. I ; had only to change gears once on the whole trip, and on the return journey the roads were especially bad. I used the car a great deal m Dunedin, and would like to say that T did not have to change to second gear once on any of the hills round about the town. On my return journey I bad an absolutely non-stop run with the Economy “Six” and after leaving Timaru I made a very fast trip to my hoine in Irwell, doing the distance in three hours, which was a very fine performance for a little car. I carefully worked out my petrol oonrUtnintion for the above trip,, and it estimated about 21 miles to the gallon, which I think is very creditable when one takes into consideration the number of small trips, averaging from three to five miles, which were mads by me round about Dunedin. I would also like to add that the Studebaker Economy Light “Six” bangs to the road quite as well as other cars I have driven, weighing from Gewt to 7cwt more. In conclusion, I would like to say that all the other ears I have owned and driven have been “Four” cylinder models, and in my opinion there is no comparison between the flexibility of the ‘'Four’* cylinder engine and the Studebaker Light “Six.” (Signed) A. J. W. YOUNG. THE PRICE OF THIS WONDERFUL CAR IS £559. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION SEE THE LOCAL AGENTS. Clements Motors Ltd., Westland Agents for Studebaker Cars. MTTnTTuTr.
