WEDDING BELLS.

The marriage was celebrated on .Monday evening last at 7.30 in Ibc Salvation Army Barracks, when two wellknown residents, Mr Leslie S. Green ot Blnketown, and Miss Alice E. »• Cressev, daughter of Mr and Mrs Edward Crcssey, of Cobden and lor several years an employee of the Mawhera Meat Co., were united in matrimony. There was an overflow gathering of relatives and well-wishers of the happy couple, and Ensign Sawyer officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dressed in a navy tailormade costume, with fusehia satin hat, wearing the usual sash and carrying Bible with streamers. Miss Eva and Gertie Oressey (sisters of the bride) attended as bridesmaids, and were attired in navv costumes, with bats to match The bridegroom was attended b v bis brother (Mr Jas. L. Green) as best man, and Air Edward Crcssey juni acted ns groomsman. The barracks were beautifully decorated for the occasion by Salvation Army friends. After the ceremony an adjournment was made to St John’s Hall, where the wedding breakfast, daintily prepared by Army comrades, was partaken of and the usual toasts proposed and lionoured. The newlv-wedded couple were, .the recipients of numerous costly pre-i sents and cheques, including a silver-, mounted biscuit barrel from the Anglican Church, Doclton ware from the Anglican Sunday School, and clock from Salvation Army. Air and Airs Green left on their honeymoon on I [uesclay morning for Christchurch Riverton and Invercargill, carrying with them good wishes of many friends for their hnpp.ness and prosperity. . *
