ECONOMY MOTORING. (Reprinted from The Sun, Wednesday, May 31st, 1022. Mr A J W. Young, well-known motorist of Invell, -writes as follows to' \clams Ltd., N./. Importers of Stud clinker Cars, about his trip 5 in an Economy ’iht _“Si S ” Stndebnker to Dunedm and return —a distance of nearly 500 miles : Messrs .Adams, Ltd. Invell, May 24, 1922. Christchurch. Lear Sirs—lt is with much pleasure that I give you the following testimonial in connection with the Light Sta» r car yvi uch I purchased from your firm a few months ago. I v stoo Light “Six” about 1200 miles, and up to date I have not had a stop, and I have not yet used half a gallon of oil. On a recent trip to Dunedin and return T was delighted with wav the little car l>eliavcd and the flexibility of the Six x engine and the way the ear took the hills was a revelation tome. A hail only to change gears mice on the whole trip, and on the return journey the roads were especially bad I used the car ag e ‘ Dunedin, and. would like to any tl.at X did not have to cha ge second gear once on any of the hills round about trie to . • v return journey I had an absolutely non-stop run with the hconorny “Six” and after leaving 'rimaru I made a very fast trip to my horn in Irwoll, doing the distance in three hours, which was a very nne performance for a little car. T carefully worked out mv petrol consumption for the above trip, ami it estimated about 21 miles to the gallon, which I think is very creditable when one takes into consideration the number of small trips, averaging from three to five miles, which were ™ad6 by m round about Dunedin. I would also like to add that the StudehakcE Economy Light “Six” hangs to the road quite as well as other cars I have driven, weighing from fiewt to 7ewt. more. In conclusion, I would like to say that all the other cars I have owned and driven have been “Four” cylinder models, and in my opmion there is no comparison between the flexibility of the rour cylinder engine and tho Studebakor Light “Six. n (Signed) A. »T. W. YOUNG. THE PRICE OF THIS WONDERFUL CAR IS £550. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION SEE THE LOCAL AGENTS. Clements Motors Ltd., Wes Hand Agents for Studebaker Cars.
