The Agricultural Department announces, that Doctor Half, of the Department has discovered that carbon tetrachlorine, which is a cheap common chemical, is an effective cure in practically 100 per cent of the cases of hookworm. The Department, in its statement says this success gives reason to believe that the new method is far superior to the thymol and chenopodmm treatments, since th e latter instances produced fatalities, while carbon tetraolilorine is harmless.
