50,000 MILES WITH THE PRINCE OF WALES.
On to-morrow (Wednesday) afternoon a special matinee will be given at tho Princess Theatre for children, of tho •historic tour “50,000 Miles With the Prince of Wales.” On Wednesday night another screening takes place, when the official pictures of the world tour of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, filmed by Captain Barker at the express wish of the King, will receive their first screening. Produced by-command of the King, the films were received in England with great cordiality. The London “Evening Standard” had the following: The most interesting and intimate record of a Royal Tour ever presented to the public. It is also a peculiarly live historical document. Tuttle sudden tricks of expression which convey what is going on in the mind of the actor put quite a. “new end” on a story and achieve an effect, in such an instance as this, quite unobtainable h,v a writer. The Prince’s smiling good-humoilred endurance of this ordeal at the hands of an autocratic monarch caused a storm of affectionate applrtuse. Thousands will he delighted to see the picture of the ceremony “Crossing the Line.” when the the Prince was lathered by the minions of King Neptune and flung to the merov of his hears. This film is not only a remarkable cinematograph achievement, but it is also a unique historical record. The price of ndmission for children at the matinee is (id. The adult prices are dress circle Is fid. stalls Is plus tax. Seats may he reserved for the dress circle at Mclntosh’s theatre confectionery for Wednesday night’s screening only. McLEAN’S PICTURES. TO-NIGIIT. Mr MeT/ean presents to-night the big attraction “World’s Apart,” a Selznick picture with Eugene O’Rrien. There is the angle of those who marry in haste and repent at leisure. The problem of n woman married to a weak, criminally inclined man, whom she loves. The ever old situation of the man to whom money means power —only to discover when it is too late it cannot purchase happiness. There is a miscarriage of justice and a revelation of the attitude of a man who has had his ideals shattered and his trust tramped upon. All these and more are to lie found in “Worlds Apart,”*in which Olive Tell, a new star," makes her dehut. The supports include the attractive serial “The Branded Pour.”
