ECONOMY MOTORING. ■ O (Reprinted from The Sun, Wednesday, May 31st, 1922. ]\[ r A J W. Young, well-known motorist of Irwell, writes as follows to'Adams Ltd., N.Z. Importers of Studebaker Cars, about his ; trip in an Economy Light “Six” Studebaker to Dunedin and return . —a distance of nearly 500 miles: — Messrs Adams, Ltd. Ir ' vcll > Ma y 24 > 1922 ‘ Christchurch. Dear Sirs,- —It is with much pleasure that I give you the following testimonial in .connection frith the Light “Six” Studebaker ear which I purchased from your firm a few months ago. I have now driven my Light “Six” about 1200 miles, and up to date I have not had a stop, and I have not yet used half a gallon of ojl. On a recent trip to Dunedin and return I was delighted with the wav the little car behaved, and the flexibility of the “Six 1 cylinder engine and the way the car took the hills was a. revelation to me. I had only to change gears once on the whole trip, and on the return journey the roads were esjieciallv bad. I used the car a great deal in Dunedin, and would like to say' that I did not have to change to second gear once on any of the hills round about the town. On my return journey I had an absolutely non-stop run with the Economy “Six” and after leaving Timaru I made a very fast trip to my home in Trwell, doing the distance in three hours, which was a very fine performance for a little car. T carefully worked out my petrol .consumption for the above trip, and it estimated about 21 miles to the gallon, which I think is very creditable when one takes into consideration the number of small trips, averaging from three to five miles, which were made by me round about Dunedin. I would.also like to add that the Studebaker Economy Light. “Six” hangs to the road quite as well as other cars T have driven, weighing from Gewt to 7cwt more. In conclusion, I would like to say that all the other cars I havS owned and driven have been “Four” cylinder models, and in my opinion there is no comparison between tho flexibility of the “Four” cylinder engine and the Studebaker Light “Six.” r (Signed) A. J. W. YOUNG. THE PRICE OF THIS WONDERFUL CAR IS £550. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION SEE THE LOCAL AGENTS. Clements Motors Ltd., Westland Agents for Studebaker Cars.
