This game took place ut Hokitika on Saturday and resulted in a vin for Kokatahi hy 0 to (>. In the first-luilf the Kiwi more than held their own scoring li points to 3. In the second half the Kokntahi forwards got the upper hand and their forward rushes heat the Kiwi hacks badly, there being a sad exhibition of funking among the latter a.t time, Stevens and Lougher being the only ones to stand up to the forwards. The Kakatahi hacks worked well together .notably Wallace (2). Moyn.ihnn and O’Brien. Scores lor Kokatahi were secured hy AAallncc, Aloynihnn and Baird, while Shannon and Cunningham scored for Kiwi. Ihe place kicking throughout was vciy T feeble. Air A. Wilson was referee.

This game took jilaee on Cass Square before a good attendance. The ground was in capital order and tlie day ideal for football. The game was of an interesting nature throughout, and was well contested. There were a number of knock-outs during the game resulting in three llari llari men having to leave the field. For the winners Brown and C. Ciilbush scored tries, while Gilford kicked a line penalty goaf For llari llari. Robinson scored a. trv which Scott converted, the same kicker also kicking a penalty goal. Mr Gilloelv was referee.
