Tee second meeting between tlie Maoris a"d Queensland took l>lnee yesterday in fine weather before 0900 spetators. fit the Maori team Yates. Pitman and llaira replaced W. Lockwood. Morrison and Lovett. In the Queensland team S'.eiiecr. E. Brown Tliorogood. Moibns'i, Bennett ' and Barnett, replaced llourigan. Maguire. M. Brin. (Jonnel, Johnson and Richards. The Maoris showed improved combination and fully extended the Queenslanders. A feature of the game was the clever half-back play by Pitman, who initiated the majority of the Maoris scoring movements. Queensland had a stronger team than last week and always had lather the upper hand in tin even game.
The score at half-time was Queensland 10. Maoris 13, the Maoris scorers being Gardner (2), and Dufty. Two tries were converted by Dufty. On resumption the Maoris lost Dufty who was ordered off for insulting the referee
