The customary Easter Sports that were postponed for a month owing to the inclemency of the weather, took place on Saturday, 27th Alay, and being favoured with a bright sunny day proved quite a success. The chief centre of interest was the chopping events and the men’s 100yds. The competitors were all local men, hut the different items wore keenly contested. The winners of the principal events were as follows:

As the evening was mid, dancing was kept going briskly until the night wits well advanced. .Music was capably supplied by Messrs Cowan (piano) and Han is (violin), and all recognised that the lively strains contributed greatly to the success of the evening. 'l’lie euchre tournaments no Okurn are fixed for the last Saturday in each month during the winter, so many more such enjoyable evenings are looked forward to.
