A sensational murder trial is now tailing place here. Madam Bessarbo and her daughter by her first husband are accused of murdering her second husband, and packing his body in a trunk, and sending it from Paris to Nancy, where is was discovered in a lost properly office. The mother is aged 50. and is a fairly* well-known poetess and a writer of romances. She is also suspected of murdering her first husband. There have been several incidents during tlie trial, such as the women breaking down during the judge’s examination, and their shrieking: “Sparc my mother!” “Spare my daughter!” Tbe poetess once admitted the murder to tho police, but she said she did so in order to save her daughter from being sent to tho Saint Lazaro prison, where the women of the street are sent-.

BANKERS’ REPORT. LONDON. June 10. The “Daily Express” Paris correspondent states: The Bankers' Commit tee, re the German Loan, have adjourned for three months. Tho Committee suggests a conditions essential to a Oerinan loan:— (j). The ieduction of the indemnity by half. (2) . -That lenders shall have prior right over all other i laimant.s to collect German customs and to.receive other German security. (3) That Germany shall receive half the amount of the loan. (I). That Germany should not, he obliged to pay any part of the indemnity for three years and should have the power of control over her own finances. including taxation. France, it is claimed, puts forward impossible terms, namely, the cancellation of all tho war debts due to America and Britain*, the cancellation of the British share of the indemnity. The acceptance of these terms will he considered.

The failure of the Allied Governments to reach a unanimous agreement on tho scope of their authority is the main cause of the adjournment of the Bankers' Committee on the German Loan.
