The contest went a dozen rounds, and it proved a- vorv willing one, but the fighting was mostly of the wild order. An unlooked f°r incident occurred at the boxing tournament here nn Saturday night between I.in Robinson and Bert Eacoorey. who were to fight for a stake of €IOO sterling. Mr Tim Tracey was the referee, and after the third "round. he announced "Tvo refereed both'these men. and I don’t think they are fighting dinkum.” Robinson made a protest, but he boxed on. In tlie fifth round, however. Traeev asra.iii intervened, and bis time declared “no tight.” Both the boxers were very indignant but Tracey was loudly applauded, though boro was considerable dissent.
