The local fishermen complained to the Irish Provisional Government that these vessels were engaged within the th.eemile territorial limit. A gift of £IOOOO for cancer research from Mr Hodman, a Sydneyite, has been allocated as follows: —£4ooo to the Imperial Cancer Research Fund of Bloomsbury; £IOOO each for four hospitals in the United Kingdom; £IOOO for the*Macßohert Endowment, of Adferdeen University; and £SOO for two radium institutes at London and Manchester .
