CHRISTCHURCH, May 24 1 Mr Henke, secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, states that the Hnglish cricketers to tour the Dominion under A. C. Maclaren will he an M.C.C. loam. It was originally intended to open the tour in New Zealand, but, a Mac'nren’s request, it has been agreed that the team should play first in Australia, arriving in New Zealand at the end of November. The Dominion tour s *o extend over eight weeks. At its conclusion, the team is returning to Australia for a further scries of matches. The New Zealand council lias pi adit-ally agreed with the Australian Associations as to the conditions governing the matches in the Commonwealth. Mr D. Reece, who is shortly going to Vustralia, will complete the armm - - puts. In the correspondence, Maclaren slates that he expects to ge. u c lient amateur team.
