SHOCKING FATALITY. DARGAVILLK, May 23,
A young man, Eric smith, aged eig' - teen, died at the hospital yesterday, as the result of an explosion of gunpowder at Mangatu on Sunday. Deceased who was engaged ns a contractor in the district, was testing gunpowder when a cask containing fifty lbs. exploded inflicting terrible injuries to the face hands and legs. The mail was alone in tho camp at tko time of the accident and had crawled about a mile when found by Jiis mates, who with the assistance of neighbours conveyed him over rough rca.'s to Knilm, whore medical iissisiaiue vras obtained.
