J. and Dan Carroll present a theme never before attempted, the great picture “Confession” which will be long remembered for its powerful story, scenic splendour and its wonderful caste. As ! the Priest, Father ltartlett, Mr HenrvWalthall, gives a performance that reaches the very highest standard of' ■ sincere dramatic acting. The scenes of “Confession” present a succession of dramatic thunderbolts. Tense situations and gripping climaxes bold the , viewers in suspense throughout the seven long reels, though the tietnendons theme is softened by the ele- ( ments of the love of a man for his church, the love of a girl 'for her : sweetheart, the lore of a brother for his I sister, the love of a mother for her son, i and the hate of a man for the betrayer of his sister. “Confession” is not a propaganda picture. It is claimed to he a production that lias and will make a poignant appeal to the hearts of all men and women, irrespective of their religous views. To the dramatic sense it is not a picture, it is a- seven act play that simply enthrals from begin- | ning to end. The other star feature is a five-reel Paramount entitled “Class,” starring Belie Daniels, the girl of the stygian tresses and peach bloomchecks.
