Let aiiyone haflng influence in either country resolve to seek to see through the surface difficulties to <JUr profriutid underlying unity. I.ot us Use out in* Hueiice to remove misunderstandings and determine to find a friendly solution of all ouf differences. I am riot sure that M. I have a suspicion that M.- Cam* bon’still likes the old diplomacy, with its reticence, silence and careful avoid* a nee of the limelight of the Press. So do I. I wish it were given us still to uve in a world where those quiet ways satisfied the needs of the times. Whatever place there might he in the future for the new method, there will always be room for the older diplomacy.”
