He was particularly proficient in net play. Aliss Curtis Volleyed in her customary manner, but was showing signs of staleness. The fihst sot was level pegging, till the sixth game. Their opponents turned the tables oil P’erieli and Aliss Curtis, in the succeeding set mainly through PciVch’s ineffective tossing in the third 'set Won the match. 11l tlie final Darby arid Mrs Retitlali heat Sioler and Aliss Gray 6-2, 6-4. In the mixed doubles handicap Clemeiigeh and Kirkpatrick beat Henderson and Ritz 4-6, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-4. In the mixed doubles handicap Green and Aliss Green, beat AVith and Miss Colqillrim 4-6, 6-2, 6-1. In the men’s doubles handicap, Wood ami Fowler heat Green and Hartgill 0-3, 4-6, 7-5. Tlie New Zealanders intend returning by the Ulimaroa on AI ay 20.
