BOLD HEAD SALE. At the Bold Head Yards on the-3rd inst., Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. held their usual sale of surplus stork, the yarding consisting of 87 head of cattle and three horses, the advertised entry of sheep not being yarded owing, to flooded rivers. Competition was fairly good throughout the sale, with the result that the whole of the yarding (with the exception of two pens of •rood dairy heifers and a line of steers) was cleared at satisfactory prices. The following sales made:— On recount Mr J. Smith, 1 springer at £5. 1 ditto at £3 1 Os; on account Mr W. Deakin, 3 dry cows at £4 /ss. 2 diftto at £2 7s 6d; on account Mr Black, 8 two-year steers at £3 12s (id, 14 two and a half year steers at £5 15s; on account of a client, 1 springer at £lO, 2 at £8 10s, and 1 at £7 10s; on account Dir J. Manera. 2 suckers at 255, 1 springer at £O. 2 first calf springers at £4 10, and 5 ft cows at £4. kokataht sale. At the al>ove Yards yesterday, 107 head of cattle. 84 sheep and 2 horses were yarded, there being a very fair attendance of buyers present. Prices shewed a distinct improvement, and in consequence, the whole of the yarding of cattle was cleared. Sheep, however, of which the pens offered was practically all fat ewes, did not reach the owner’s idea of values. The following sales were recorded: On account Messrs Jamieson Bros., 11 mixed calves at 30s, 1 cow at £3;,< on account Mr de Fillipi, 4 calves at 30s, 2 at 30s. 1 dry cow at £5 15s; oil account Mr T. Stopforth. 7 forward steers at £5 ss; on account Air A. Mehnrry. 4 fat cows at £5 2s (3d; on account Air O’Brien, 1 springer at £6, 1 at Cl2; on account Air D. Clarke. 5 steers at £3 13s fid; on account Afr A. Boddington. 1 dry cow at £3 ss, 1 at £2 7s fid; on account Air T. O’Neill, 2 calves at 255; on account Messrs Keenan and Heslan, 9 steers at £3 9«; on account ATr .T. Fleming, 1 hull at £2 2s; on account Air AY. S. Young. 1 yearling heifer at £2 15s, 4 ditto steers at £2 7s fid; on account Arc \Y. Jones, 1 springer at £O, 1 at £5 ]()s, 1 at £5; on account Air J. AVoolhon.se, 1 aged hull at £1 15s, 12 calves at 12s; <fn account Air L. Aforel, (> heifer calves at 12s. fi steer calves at 26s on account Air 1). AA'eir, fi heifer calves at 235; on account Air A. Krakosky, one sucker at £2. Ten pens of fat ewes were passed at 18s and 19s.
