Alleging that certain influential personages in the previous administration had knowledge of fraudulent war-time contracts, and were in a position tq make disclosures, but were personally, interested in concealing them, the Hon. Mr Dougherty (of the U.S.A. Ministry) with the approval of Preai-j dent Harding lias requested Congress to appropriate $50,000 to create al Federal judgeships to make investigations. ■
