GRABBED BY ALLIGATOR.
PORT DARWIN, May 3. Harry Summcrfield, living on Alligator River, was standing on the hank, when a large alligator seized him by the leg, and dragged him into the water Ho jammed bis thumb into the saurian’s eye, and forced it to release him, but it then seized and broke Ins wrist He then poked bis thumb into its other eye, blinding the alligator. He then escaped, being badly injure , and was taken to the hospital.
