Early today, largo forces of irregulanars invaded Kilkenny city and occupied all the strategic, positions. They took numerous buildings, including Kilkenny Castle, City Hall, Bank if Irland, Cathedral, and workhouse using the last as headquarters. Free State troops seized all the Republican. positions in Galway, including the barracks and Government offices. Opposition was slight. Irregulars in Kinncgal and Greensbridge”surrendered the barracks under a threatened attack. Free Staters cheered on taking possession. The police found a postman’s body riddled with bullets in Ready, Armagh. The son aged 1(>, was also shot and is in a critical condition,
