WEDDING BELLS.

A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at St Mary’s Church on Wednesday, 2Gth April, Father Riorden being the officiating clergyman. The contracting parties were Miss Nellie Anderson, eldest daughter of Mr ami .Mrs A. Anderson, of Woodstock, and Francis William Foster, eldest son of Mi and Mrs J. Foster, of Ikamatua, near Reefton. The bride who was given away by her father, looked charming in a liftvy blue serge costume and a pink crepe de c-lieno shaped hat. Miss Eileen Foster attended the bride as bridesmaid and Air James Foster attended his brother as best man. After the ceremony a sumptuous' wedding breakfast was partaken of at Preston’s Tea Rooms by the relatives of the bride and bridegroom. After the usual toasts were honoured wishing the happy couple the best of luck in their future life. Mr and Airs Foster left by the evening train cn route for Christy church, where they spend their honey-’ moon. The wedding presents were costly and numerous, among them being a number of cheques. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a gold Albert, and the bridegroom’s to the bride a set of furs. Ihe bride and bridesmaid carried prayer books with white streamers, tho gift of the bridesmaid, and the groomsman’s present to the bride was a beautiful travelling rug and to the bridesmaid n wristlet watch. In the evening a large number of friends and relatives were entertained by the bride’s parents at their residence, where a most enjoyable evening was spent.
