OBITUARY. AVANGANIT, April 27. Obituary—Alfred Burnett, aged years. He arrived with his parents in 1856. He was a successful farmer and closely identified with the freezing industry, and one of the founders of Wanganui Meat Freezing C’ov. He took no active part in public affairs, but great interest in returned soldiers. Besides donating largely to the funds tie gave a site whereon the Club House stands and was a member of the Patriotic Society Executive from its inception.
