In another column it is announced that K. C'lmlerton, the well-known optical specialist, is prolonging his stay in Hokitika until May 7th insl.
A meeting will be held at Greymouth on Saturday next at 1 p.tn. of all dairy farmers interested in the formation of i purely suppliers co-operative dairy factory. Tee meeting takes place in the Town Hall.
Private advice received hy cable conveyed the sad news of the death m South Africa on April 21th.. ol Mr Stanley Nortlieroft, eldest son of All Leo Nortlieroft of South Africa, and formerly proprietor of the “AVest Const Times.’ The deceased, who was born in Hokitika, was 42 years of age, and went to South Africa with his parents some twenty years ago. His mother is at present in South Westland staying with anoth.br sou, George. Deceased, who was unmarried, leaves four brothers (George at Alatnumi. Erema at Hamilton, Cyril and Ernest in Africa), and two married sisters. IGeneral sympathy will be felt for the parents end family in their sad loss.
