For five hours there were periodical bursts of sniping by Free Staters, who compelled Northern area farmers to again evacuate their farmsteads on the whole border highway of the steam tramway line, Caledon to Crillybridge, which was continuously enfiladed, and traffic was held up. Preparations are proceeding to drive the Free Staters over the Boyne.
