SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT can be obtained at aP ohemists and stores. The Feilding “Star,” in referring to the ease of a Melbourne baronet who is working as a market gardener, says :— I There have been and still are parallel eases in New Zealand. There was the ease in the South Island of a Seots baronet of ancient lineage who married the washerwoman of a small township. The eldest son worked as a labourer on a farm in the Feilding district a few years ago. That son is the baronet to-day. Hut, like bis father, he does not use the title, and he earns his living by taking casual jobs. There is a resident in I'eilding to-day, living a humble and retired life, whose mother was entitled to be addressed as “her ladyship,” but her neighbours did not suspect, her real identity, as she dropped the title on coming to New Zealand. Scions of ancient British houses are scattered till over the Dominion, some of them bearers of titles which are hidden, whilst some of these secret aristocrats are actually “dead scared” lest their hidden life should be disclosed. They really prefer to Ik 1 commoners—most of them because they cannot afford to do otherwise. Smart autumn novelties just arrived at McGruer’s. The new season’s frocks, costumes, coats and jumpers feature the finest fahricß and most handsome designs. Model millinery, smart and becoming, ready to wear velours and straws, cosy and attractive furs. \ou will have something exclusive and out of the ordinary if you purchase your garments from McGruer’s, Hokitika and Grevniouth. —Advt
