A FIRE. PALMERSTON N., April 20 Just before two this morning a lire was discovered in a wooden building on the western side of the square. Two shops were destroyed, the occupants being J. H. Watt (cycle dealer), and Joe Ivwong On (fruiterer). A small portion of the contents were saved. Watt’s stock was valued at C 1,150. Insured for £BSO. The Chinaman had no insurance. The premises of the Universal Supply Company adjoining, were badly damaged h.v water and goods valued at over £IOOO were rendered useless. The premises destroyed belonged to the Waldegravc estate and were insured for £1,150.
