AR ATI PH A FAT STOCK SALE. At yesterday’s fixture at the above yards 300 sheep and lambs and 60 head of cattle were submitted to public eompeition. There were not so many buyers as usual present at the fixture ,no doubt the broken week caused by the holidays being responsible, although the fixture was arranged by the butchers themselves. In consequence of reports from outside markets to the effect that prime beef could be bought much cheaper than at the local yards, buyers held off from bidding over a certain value per hundred.
