The police and military were summoned and arrested a man found on the works in possession of a loaded revolver.
A NEUTRAL ZONE (Received This Day at 8 a «n.) LONDON, April 13
The commandants of Ulster forces in Fermanagh and Free State forces have agreed to institute neutral zones in certain districts. The forces are to be withdrawn for several miles. Both undertake to punish adnerents for provocative acts Barts of the southern border line, however, are held by de Valera who does not recognise Free State orders.
EASTER SEIZURES. (Received This Dav at 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, April 14
A large force of Republican extremist troops seized the ’Four Courts building and Kour Courts hotel, and are fortifying them. The former is tbe building seized during the Easier rebellion of 1919.
Two civilians were killed and one wounded, and four policemen wounded, in street lighting in Belfast early on Eridav.
COUP IN DUBLIN
(Received Tins Day at 10.15 a.m.' LONDON. April 18. The biggest coup yet effected by the anti-Treuty Republicans wim accomplished in Dublin at midnight. A fore* of 490 seized Emir Courts which is the s ai of the High Court of Justice ol Southern Ireland. The atlackers marched in Iwo forces and met no opposition. Several police won' arp'sied, bill ’atcr limy were liberated. Meanwhile the Republicans seized the mb juecii Emir Courts Hotel and ejected the guests ami fortified both buildings, filling the windows with sandbags. They forcibly requisitioned the service; of passersby for tilling the bags with sand and clay. These buildings wen' amongst the first public* buildings which tbe rebels took in Easter 191(1. The gravest misgivings are felt. Two Belfast civilians killed, were bakers named Carmichael and Sloan.
ABORTVE f’ONEERENCE. ■ Received This Day at 8.30 a.m.' LONDON April 13. Tiie Lord Mayor’s co defence assembled at Dublin Alans.on house this afternoon, but no agreement resulted and the conference adjourned until AYednesday. Tt is officially aunou >ccd that all parties to the conference desire no interference by way of public meetings.
