ARMSTRONG’S DEFENCE.
I Ansi’llAMAN ANT) N.Z. OABUR ASSOCIATION. ’ LONDON, April 12. Medical experts gave evidence for the defence at the trial of Armstrong (charged, with poisoning his wife with arsenic). They expressed the opinion that Airs Armstrong died of a big (I ?’ of arsenic, taken six days before her death. Mr Curtis Bennett, in his final speech, emphasised the fact that the dead w--man had just come from an asylum, and suffered from delusions, and could no doubt have committed suiede. ARMSTRONG FOUND GUILTY. SENTENCED TO DEATH. (Received This Dav at 8 a.m.) LONDON, April 13. Armstrong was found guilty and was sentenced to death,
