AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z- CABLE ASSOCIATION.

WELLINGTON, April 11

The Amateur Athletic Council has received advice from Australia that Monro’s shot-put of 46ft Jin, and Sutherland’s pavelin throw of 172 ft lin, have been passed as Australasian records; also that the proposed abolition of the one and three mile walks in the championships was rejected. The Council passed H. E. Wilson’s 120 yards hurdles in 15 l-ssee at Wanganui and Oosterlnnk’s 220 yards in 21 4-ssee, at Wellington, as New Zealand records, and will apply to have them recognised as Australasian records.
