POLLARD’S PICTURE®.
“THE VICE OF FOOLS,” AND “PASSION FRUIT” TO-NIGHT.
At the Princess Theatre this evening, Pollards are screening two great pictures. T|lie first is “The Vice of Fools” in which Alice Joyce, the popular Vitagrnph star, appears in an excellent society picture. It revolves about Marion Rogers, played by Miss Joyce, and Cameron West, enacted by Robert Gordon, who has won for himself a host of followers by his workin support of the star. These two have been brought up together since childhood .and the sisterly affection of Marion had gradually changed to a womanly love. Cameron, however, becomes infatuated with society and society’s debutantes, Marion sees him being won from her by the unscrupulous methods of the society butterflies whoso only occupation in life is playing the love game. So it is a case of an honest woman, fighting against competitors who stop at no means to accomplish their ends. For a picture devotee who likes to see a good society picture, no feature will suit him better.
The second star is the splendid Metro picture of the South Sea. Islands. “Passion Fruit,” featuring Madame Donaldina, the great dancer.

“EVERY WOMAN,” FRIDAY
The motion picture which is clainied by English and American critics to have no parallel in motion picture history is “Every Woman,” a Paramount-Royalty Masterpiece to he presented on Fridai night. The sheer artistry which makes this production so absorbing and compelling is first of course, due to the direction, which is the zenith achievement of a master crafteman. The story is one which holds the onlooker every moment, building up to tense dramatic situations, then breaking down with some humorous twist that leaves one smiling through tears and with a lump in the throat that will he swallowed. A popular cast is uniformh excellent. The work of Theodore Roberts is a revelation. The supports include a two reel Century comedy, starring the monkey Joe Martin, and the serial “King of the Circus.”
On Saturday at 2 p.m., a matinee will be given. The programme includes Gladys Walton in “Desperate Youth.” a Joe Martin comedy’and the serial.
