COLLIERY DISASTER

FIRE IN A GERMAN MINE. SIXTEEN DEAD, 383 ENTOMBED. AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. BERLIN, April 3. A fire has broken out in the Anselm Mine, in the Ratisbon district. So far there are 16 men dead. Thirty-six others have been rescued, but are in the gravest condition. There are 383 miners still entombed in the burning mine. All efforts to master the flames have thus far failed.
