She heard, although she could not see, the firing, which ended her son’s life. Woolstoncrnft, who was shot by Maple, is progressing towards ieeovery.

A conference of Anglican, Presbyterian Methodist and Congregational Churches, ‘on the question of Union has commenced. A discussion ensued on the question of episcopacy. The debate was adjourned till to-day, when it is anticipated a resolution will he moved.
WIRELESS 'AGREEMENT. MELBOURNE, March 29. Mr Hughes has signed an agreement with the Amalgamated Wireless Ltd for a direct wireless service between the Commonwealth and United Kingdom. The rates a,e not to exceed the full rate of two shillings per word and deferred one shilling, week-end messages sixpence, with a minimum o? ten shillings per message. § Government messages one shilling per wold and press sixpence with deferred press three pence.
