|_BV IELEOHAI’H —i’ “III r IUSHB ASSOCIATION] MORE IMMIGRANTS. AUCKLAND March 26. The steamer Dorset arrived from Liverpool to-day with 262 immigrants. They are all in good health. The immigrants include 37 domestics and 18 weavers for the Kaiapoi, Reslyn, and Mosgiel mills. During the voyage a man named James Carter died and was buried at sea. FARMER’S DEATH. PALMERSTON N., March 26. William John Port, aged 50, a farmer residing at Awnhuri, who was removed to the -Palmerston North Hospital on Friday evening with a bullet wound in the head, died early this morning. He was found lying on the floor or his whare near his house hy one of its occupants who was investigating the cause of a rifle report. That day deceased had been to Fielding and appeared to he in His usual state of health.
