At the boxing tourney last evening Paul Hannah (Hastings) met Frank O’Neill (lliinanga) in a 15-round profossionel contest for a purse of £l5O Tilt; bout only went five rounds, when O’Neill, collapsing, claimed a foul from a low uppercut. The claim was uusustained, Hannah getting the verdict. George Curran (Greymouth) defeated Carr on points in a 10-round professional featherweight bout.
CANN BEATS PASCOE. WANGANUI, March 26. Charles Cann, of Wanganui, won on points in a 15-round fight for £l5O with Paddy Pascoe, of Quensland.
MeBRIDE BEATS McFARI.ANE. SYDNEY. March 26. At the Sydney Stadium last night, after a hard and gruelling contest, Stanley Mcßride (8.131, of America) secured a points decision over Packy McKarlane (9st of Newcastle). The winner gave a fine exhibition of boxing, scoring well with straight lefts to the solar plexus, and nearly knocking the local man (|lt in the final round. JAMITO V. JERRY SULLIVAN. MELBOURNE, March 26 In a boxing contest here, Jamito beat Jerry Sullivan on points in 20 rounds. Jamito forced the fight, hut in tho eighth round Sullivan, with a terrific right to the body, dropped .him for nine seconds. Jamito, howevor, recovered and then continued to force matters throughout, and winning comfortably.
