FISHY. PARIS, Jan. 3. At a congress of the French Communist Party at Marseilles one of the speakers called a fellow Connminst a “ rotten fish,” and added that this description was particularly appropriate in view of the fact that the congress was being held at Marseilles. The South of France delegates at once took up the cudgels for thenfavourite city. ‘‘Rotten fish, indeed!” exclaimed one of them. •* w« send all our rotten fish to Paris.” This gave a fresh turn to the debate, which was occupied to the dose of the sitting with uncomplimentary comparisons between Paris and Marseilles.
