Mr Ricks, secretary of the Australasian Tennis Association, has received word from America respecting the dates for the rounds of the Davis Cup, which must he completed bv 19th August, if played in America. Hicks favours Australasia playing all matches in America, in order that the players might become acclimatised for the challenge matches, if successful in the early rounds. A meeting is convon'ed with the object of dispatching a team at the earliest opportunity.
LOST OVERBOARD. HOBART, March 21. Alfred Oxspring, a quarter-master on toe steamer Hororata, was lost overboard during heavy weatiter on Sunday, when en route to Hobart. SALE OF RACEHORSE. Sydney; March 20. Tlie racehorse Fortune Hunter has been sold to Mr Sydney Taylor, of Cudal. The price is not stated. A condition of the sale was that the horse is not to be trained again.
