DANCE TN COURT.
BERLIN, Jan. 9. The Court of Justice here was turned into a kinenia theatre this morning when the dancer, Colly de Ithendt, otherwise Frau Oberleutnant Sewerloh, and 14 members of her troupe appeared to answer a charge of performing unpropor dances for the film and on the stage. Particular exception is taken to a film in which the dancer, appearing as a nun kneeling in prayer at the loot of a crucifix, suddenly throws off all her clothing. Frau Sewerlolr’s gallant husband used to preface tier dances with a lecture on the artistic and spiritual value of the nude. During the film performance in court the dancer declared that the effect was totally different when thebe was a musical accompaniment. Tt was decided, therefore, to have a second performance in a theatre to-morrow, when the judge will be present.
