ADJINCTON STORK MARKET. A STEADY MARKET. (By Velegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as lotlows regarding their stork sale yesterday:— Store Sheep—A very large yarding and tlie market generally was firmer. Best sound mouth local owes from. 17s to 24s lOd, others from 12s to 15s 6d. Best wethers from 12s to 14s Gd; others from 10s. Best rape lambs from 14s to 17s 2cl; others from 10s 6d to 13®. Ther was a large proportion of travelled sheep which showed an improvement on last week’s prices. Store cattle.—A small yarding mostly nondescript lots and practically no quotable lines were offering. One rather nice line of 20 yearling steers made £3 Is. The demand generally was good hut no quotable difference from last week.

Beef—A smaller yarding than last week and the quality all round was fairly good. Any good sorts were slightly firmer hut others showed little change. Practically the whole yarding was cleared at auction. Prime steers £ll to £ls; extra to £l6 12s 6d; medium £8 5s to £lO 15s; others £6 to £B. Prime heifers £6 5s to £8 15s; extra good to £ll ss; other® £4 5s to £6. Prime cows £5 15s to £7 15s; others £3 15s to £5 10s. Mutton.—Another lairge yarding mostly ewes, but included some excellent lines of wethers. The market oened well but eased off somewhat afterwards and generally speaking was slightly easier all round than last week. Freezing buyers were hardly as keen as last sale. Prime wethers 19s 6d to 24s 9d; extra 26s te 295; one specially good lot making 325. Medium 17s to 19s; others down to 14s 10d. Prime owes 13s 6d to 16s 6d, extra to 19s W; medium 11s to 18d. Lambs were firmer.
