FLEMINGTOX RACES

MELBOURNE, March 9

The weather was blight and warm for the Flemingtnn Races, and a good attendance witnessed the racing. Stall was fourth at the home turn in the Hurdles, and just won. There was great interest in the meeting of Eurythmic and Furious in the Idovd Stakes. Eurythmic was lying last, four lengths away, when three furlongs from home. Then lie came with a surprising run, and won brilliantly from Wise Wynne, who led early in the race. Eurythmic and his rider (Dempsey) were vociferously cheered. Eurythmic has now won £32,(>1(5 in stakes. The last half-mile was done in ISsecs.

There was a great race in the Oovernnor’s Plate. Stare led early in the race. Salitros was iirst into the straight. Stare came again, and Tangalooina challenged the pair and deadheated with Stare. The last lour furlongs were done in 47;}secs. and tile last six in 1.14. The owners divided.

Autumn Hurdles.—Stall 1, Front Hank 2, Foreigner 3. Won by a short head. Time 4.51.

C. M. Lloyd Stakes. —Eurythmic V, Wish Wynne 2, Furious 3. Won by one and a-half lengths. Time 1.393(lovernor’s Plate. —Stare and langalooma, a deadbeat. 1, Purser 3. Time 2.48*. MELBOURNE. March 10. Solfanello is top weight 9.9 for Saturday's Leonard stakes.
