(Received This Dav at 2 p.m.) LONDON, March 6. Sir H. Horne, in the Commons, announced lie does not intend to resume the issue of Treasury bonds at fixed prices, hut after March 17th. will invite tenders for five per' cent, five year, bonds, in the same manner as Treasury bills. Mr Chamberlain answering a question said the cost of the British delegation at Washington was not expected to exceed £40,000 sterling. As a result of the conference the savings of tile estimates for 1922-23 would pi obahly exceed ten millions. The abandonment of the construction of four capital ships will mean a saving this year of three millions and ultimately at least thirty millions.
BANK RATE. LONDON, March 6. Australian banks reduced the cable transfer rate on Australia, and New Zealand to five shillings from Wednesday.
