AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. GERMAN INDEMNITY. BERLIN, Feb. 28. An agreement has provisionally been reached between the Allied Reparations Commission and Germany, which provides for an annual payment of £720,000,000 in cash; £1,450,000.000 in kind and gold marks. The former payment is not to he increased if the latter payment is not reached. This will be a simplification of the machinery for the distribution of orders for goods, which are expected mainly to comprise articles competing; with the Entente’s own industries, Steps are being taken to eliminate th@ middleman.
