REDUCTION THIS WEEK

WELLINGTON, Fe.b 27

Bread is to fall by Id per 4lb loaf on March 4th in the South Island, and on March 11th in the North Island. This announcement was made to-day on behalf of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, subject to the same discounts and terms as last year. Flour is to be reduced D'oni the base price of £2l a ton to £lB, pollard from £9 to £B, and bran from £6 to £5. The alterations in respect of flour, bran and pollard come into operation on March Ist.
