SHOTTING.
[by TKI.KOJtAi'U —PER PA ESS association] GKEYTOWN, Feb. 24. Shooting whs resumed soon after < this morning in dull weather, with a drizzling rain falling at intervals. The Auckland match, ten shots at ,500 and 000 yards is being completed. So far Koppert, Gamaru, is lender with 1)7, made up of 48 at 500 and 41) at 600 yards. Guy, Kaponga, and J. Feast, Greyfcown, follow with 96 each, Swaysland, Napier, goL on the possible 50 at 500. but fell down to 44. Evans Te Kuiti, also 94, and Henderson, Sounds, are others well in the running, but a number of crack shots have yet to go down. Harnett, Wakapuaka, also got the possible at 500 yards, but did not do much at the longer range. The Auckland match was won by Koppert 97, with Kyle, Linton, Guy, Kaponga. and Feast, Opaki, next, each 96. The wind freshened up considerably and developed an unsteadiness that troubled many. Swaysland only got 44 a,t 600 yards, finishing with 94. West, TBl'enheimi, had a possible eh ano of beating Koppert, but the wind spoiled it, and he finished at 94. He and Guy each 190, are heading aggregates for the two matches fired.
