HOKITIKA BOWLING CLUB

SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP.

MR D. STEVENSON WINS

Tlie final for the singles championship of the local Club was played last evening ,bet;ween Messrs D. Stevenson and A. E. Rena j min. Both had won their sections going through without a defeat. The game was an even one till the 13th. head when the steady drawing of Mr Stevenson put him in a winning position and he won on the gO.th. head by 21 to 16. On the Bth bead the Scores were 8 all and on the 13th. head, 12 nil. Mr Stevenson has now won the singles championship six times and has fully proved his right to the title of Champion of the Club, by his steady consistent play over so many years. The result entitles the winner to also hold the Duncan Cup for the year. The following are the winners since, the inception of the championship: f SINGLES CHAMPION ROLL. 1909-10—Mr J. Downey.

Mr J. J. Mclntosh of tlie Red Lion Hotel has kindly presented two trophies for competition among members, and it has been resolved to bold a handicap pairs competition for same. Entries Is each, will bo received up to Friday evening. When entries close those nominating will be divided into leads and skips, and handicapped, and then drawn for partners. The competition will be commenced next week and will be played for each evening.
