The Railway Union’s annual conference decided to postpone the regulation strike till Mr Dooley wag given an opportunity of defining ithe Govern : meat’s intentions. Mr Dooley, at a meeting at Balmain, stated one of the first acts of Government, if returned, would be legislation to ensure that justice be done victimised railway and tramway men. Justice Powers rejected the application of the clothing trade that the adjustment clause be precluded from the decrease of the basic wage l>elow £4 7s fid. The new rate is £4 Is 6d for men and £2 3s 9d for women.
