Thoughts For The Times
LITERATURE AND SEX. What -theme has ihspireef the greatest works of iterature ? This was the subject of a discussion in an English journal recently, and elicited the most diverse expressions of opinion. Many, as was perhaps to be expected suggested that loe was the supreme source of inspiration and certainly if the inquiry were limited to modern fiction they would be right. Probably ninety-nine per cent of modern novels are concerned with the sentimental relationships of man and woman in one form or another. The plot centres around wooing or matrimony and the journeys end in lovers meeting.
