Forty-five hundred men have resumed at Johannesburg gold mines, including two thousand officials. The Federation has issued orders dealing more drastically with free labourers.
Engine drivers decided not to retain Parliament opened to-day.
STRIKE BREAKING
'Received This Day at. 8 a.m.) CAPETOWN, February 18. It is reported that fifteen engine drivers mechanics have signed on at \yitbank coal mines; also an unconfirmed report that the strike there had been called off.
